Enjoy the process

That’s some of the best advice about life I have ever received and something I remind myself to do on a daily basis. I’m originally from Providence, Rhode Island, and I moved to Lynchburg in 2007 to attend college at Liberty University. I received two degrees through LU, my BS in Youth Ministry and MA in Executive Leadership in Business. I’m grateful God has given me a second home in Lynchburg and I have been enjoying every bit of my time here.

As long as I can remember I have been involved in some kind of leadership role working in student ministry. Some of the most courageous acts of faith I have seen come from youth, and I love that I can be a small part of God’s process in their lives.

Random Question

What’s the most risky thing you’ve ever done?

In 2009 I felt God’s call to start a non-profit called Takin Back, with the mission of working with children and youth in the country of El Salvador. Through our academic sponsorship, mentorship program, and yearly missions trips, we have seen God allow our small nonprofit be a part of amazing stories that display His faithfulness in the lives of the people of El Salvador. It’s been a crazy ride and this has to be the most risky thing I have ever done so far!
